Phone was what I wanted except the colour was not dark pearl grey which was what I wanted.
there's no spanish language in the phone menu.Plus, all the manual that came enclosed with the phone where written in russian or some language from an ex-URSS country.I bought the cell phone thru Amazon and not from any of the other parties that offer the same phone. I think it's a great phone, but spanish speaking users will suffer big time.
It doesn't mention a touchscreen. This phone does everything the review states. First you can pay the full retail price for the phone and still only have the features listed here, the memory listed here (512MB), but you'll get an English manual and maybe a free USB cable.Secondly, chain yourself to a long term contract with penalty clauses for leaving early, but you'll probably end up with a phone that has more memory. Apparently a few reviewers went to the Motorola website and just assumed that everything listed on the spec page would be included with the phone sold from this site. The review clearly states it comes with 512MB of NON-upgradable memory.
The phone is capable of 2GB of storage, but only if you buy one directly from a carrier like AT&T. If you're using a phone as media player, this may well be your best choice as long as you know there are far superior alternatives. Finally if you only intend to use the phone as a phone with perhaps email, texting, photos and few other things thrown in, don't want to tie yourself to a contract and you're happy downloading a pdf copy of the manual from Motorola. The benefits of doing so include getting more memory and few extra features, the drawback is you will be tied to a 2 or 3 year contract, with the full price of the phone (usually inflated to several times the actual retail cost) due if you decide to break it.There are three choices.
Some people need to learn to read the review on the website they're buying their products from. This in turn means some of the phones more advanced or even desirable features will be missing. then you get the cheapest version, but also the version with the least available features activated.
It clearly states there is NO SD or MicroSD expansion slot. It's over $80 less than one bought directly from Motorola and you'd think people would understand why that is.We buy these phones because we don't want to be tied to long-term contracts.
It doesn t feel too solid though. And it sometimes messes up.-- software: The menu is rather intutive and easy to customize. There are 3 icons you can press: one leads you to the pictures folder, one to the videos folder, one to the songs folder.
You do get used to it, but if you re used to one-handed speed-of-light text messaging, forget about it.-- you can't decide a priori wether you want to send an sms or an mms. For the money, you can get something with a way better price/quality ratio. I've had this cell phone for a few months now and, overall, i can't say i'm totally unhappy with, but i would never buy one (i received it as a present). I am a nokia fan and this review should be read with that in mind, since my opinion on this cell phone suffers from the fact that i liked my nokia, and i can't wait to go back to anoter nokia.Software_-- iTap system: It doesn't compare to the nokia equivalent. Still, objectively, it's slow a.k.a. Problem is, it won t be long before the touchscreen (and the keyboard for that matter) are with fingerprints and greasy.Something about the touch screen: it s cool, but it s not that useful, one could go as far as to say it s useless.
But that s just a feeling. In conclusion: i wouldn t recommend it, not even to someone who appreciates motorolas. Alternatively, you can read a message when you receive it (but must obviously open the clam to aswer) or check a missed call and eventually call back. It comes in handy if you like taking pictures of yourself since the camera works then the clam is closed and the lens is just above the screen. Maybe it's just me.As for it s robustness, it hasn t yet taken any hits, so i would not now. it lags. The feeling i get is, hadn't it been there, i wouldn't have missed it. It's neither as "smart" nor as capable to learn new words.
You can also change your ring styles with the buttons on the left side of the phone. I used it quite a lot and there's no trace of it here.Hardware_-- The high quality camera but flawed by the fact that it is slow, even in daylight it takes a while to take a shot, and your hands (and your subject) better be still in the meanwhile.-- The screen (both of them actually) are rather wide and everything is displayed clearly and in bright colors. The phone will decide it for you based on what you enter (number of characters, attachments). Even when you try to navigate thru the menu quickly, not just when you open or close applications.-- I don t play games on my cell, so i can t tell you about them.-- One thing i miss is the converter (between different measurement units) i used to have on my nokia.
about the memory, it has like 512mb, some people care but i don't.very good phone. mi hope was that it resist like 5 days. i think this phone is very good, i got it about 4 months ago and i'm really happy with it, the menus, the camera, contact list, everything is very good. the only thing i don't like so much is that the battery's charge only resist like 2 or 3 days.
